E2G Receives Prestigious API Training Certification

Shaker Heights, Ohio....The Equity Engineering Group, Inc. (E2G), with offices in Ohio, Texas and Canada, announced today that it has been granted the difficult-to-achieve API Training Provider Certification Program (TPCP) designation. API developed the TPCP program to help industry professionals evaluate various training resources for continuing education. The program identifies key elements that must be present in an effective training program, and assesses all elements of the program. To meet TPCP criteria, API reviews course development, content, student objectives and instructional materials as well as instructor qualifications, administration, and actual course delivery.

According to API, the TPCP program “is designed in the tradition of other API quality programs which set the benchmark for industry equipment, products, service and safety. We have applied similar quality standards to the evaluation of industry-wide training programs using API’s Training Program Evaluation Criteria and course-specific requirements.”

Equity Engineering Training Director Joel Andreani said, "We are pleased to have been awarded this prestigious certificate from API. The continuing development of our training programs is a key objective for our company over the coming years."

The TPCP certification allows Equity Engineering to issue certified Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and Professional Development Hour (PDH) credits to meet professional engineering certification requirements that are mandated by many jurisdictions. It also allows Equity to place the API imprimatur on these training courses worldwide.

Equity Engineering currently has exclusive contracts with API to teach Pressure Relieving Systems based on API RP 520/521; Risk–Based Inspection (RBI) based on API RP 580/581; Damage Mechanisms in the Refining Industry based on API RP 571; and Fitness-For-Service (FFS) based on API 579-1/ASME FFS-1. All of these courses have received the official TPCP designation.

Equity offers both public and private training in the US, Canada and numerous international locations in Europe and the Far East. In 2009, Equity is expanding training locations to include South America, Norway and Dubai. More information on Equity Engineering training courses is available at www.equityeng.com.
