Equity presents at Brazil’s COTEQ technology conference

The Equity Engineering Group, in conjunction ISQ Brazil and ISQ Portugal arranged for the first international API RBI User Group meeting held in Brazil on May 9th and 10th, 2011. The meeting, along with short courses on API Fitness-for-Service and API Risk-Based Inspection was held prior to COTEQ, the 11th edition of the Conference on Equipment Technology, which began on the evening of May 10th and ran through May 13th in Pernambuco, Brazil at the Enotel Resort & Spa in Porto de Galinhas, PE.

COTEQ is the major Brazilian event for the equipment and engineering industry, bringing together over 1,000 professionals, policy-makers, engineers, researchers and academics. This conference had seven sessions running in parallel with oral presentations, technical papers, lectures and conferences presented by national and international experts and researchers. Important subjects were discussed in panels, roundtables and minicourses.

Coteq is sponsored by the Brazilian Association for Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection in partnership with the Brazilian Corrosion Association and the Brazilian Institute of Oil, Gas and Biofuels. It brings together professionals, directors, engineers, consultants, technicians, researchers and academicians related to Non-Destructive Testing, Inspection, Equipment Integrity, Corrosion and Painting, Experimental Analysis of Stress and Mechanical Behavior of Materials.
