Advanced Nuclear Design Analysis
Equity offers expert design analysis services for both new and aging nuclear application equipment and components. Our nuclear quality assurance program meets all applicable ASME NQA-1 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B requirements. We specialize in the efficient application of advanced technology to solve difficult industry problems:
- Thermal/Mechanical Fatigue Analysis for ASME B&PV III (Division 1 and 3)/NUREG/CR-6909 and B&PV VIII (Divisions 1 and 2) design and life extension
- Primary analysis and design for all loadings, such as pressure, pipe, seismic and transportation
- Extensive ASME Code Committee participation and leadership to ensure our customers are the first to know about changes that may impact them, and how to best deal with them

- Computational weld residual stress and post weld heat treatment analysis to support both flaw evaluation and manufacturing
- High temperature creep modeling to the latest state-of-the-art technology to support design of emerging high temperature equipment

Mr. Dewees is a consultant in the petrochemical industry, focusing on the innovative use of computational techniques to solve difficult heat transfer and structural problems. Mr. Dewees specializes in non-linear Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to support Fitness-For-Service and design evaluations. He has performed extensive computational weld residual stress and distortion analyses in support of pressure containing equipment. He also performs fracture mechanics and fatigue assessments (specializing in thermal fatigue), high temperature equipment design and remaining life assessments, and ASME Code design of pressure containing equipment.
