Equity Engineering has been active in the international arena since its inception. We have been key participants in the development of US and European Risk-Based Inspection and Fitness-For-Service standards, and provide training worldwide on API standards. As a result, we have been invited to present technical papers at conferences worldwide, including the European Symposium on Pressure Equipment (ESOPE) in France, FITNET (International Conference on Fitness-For-Service) in the Netherlands; DOSH Seminar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; PAJ / JPCA FFS Seminar in Tokyo, Japan; and the Engineers Australia Conference in Perth, among others.

Equity opens office in the Middle East

Asia Pacific
Equity has formed a strategic alliance with Frontium Energy Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to service the important Asia Pacific region. Frontium Energy offers analytical consulting, specializing in Risk-Based Inspection, data management, model development, planning, design, operations, optimization, integration, training, and real time simulations for the energy industry.
Frontium and Equity Engineering share the mission of bringing state-of-art technology and training to the Asia Pacific region, and co-sponsored a conference in Kuala Lumpur in July 2010.
Equity Engineering participated in an API sponsored conference in Singapore in January 2012.
Latin America
At the invitation of ISQ Brazil, we participated in the COTEQ conference, the largest technology event in Brazil. An API RBI User Group meeting and training courses in RBI and FFS were held prior to the conference. A Brazilian User Group meeting was held in December 2011.
Europe
In March 2010, Equity participated in the “Coordination and Brainstorming Meeting on the Future of standardization of Risk-Based Inspection and Maintenance in Europe based on further development of CWA 15740:2008.” The event was sponsored by TUV and Steinbeis Advanced Risk Technologies and held in Munich, Germany. The goal of the meeting was to discuss a way forward for creating a European standard for Risk-Based Inspection.
Equity held a conference in Milan, Italy in 2009 on jurisdictional acceptance of a standard for RBI.


Dr. Michael Pambos has spent most of his life in the Oil & Gas industry working for numerous major multinational companies in Europe, the Middle East, West Africa, South East Asia and China and North and South America. He began working for a major EPC company on refinery and petrochemical projects in the Middle East and was later given European regional responsibilities within the safety and environmental equipments division. Mike then spent several years in the London office of IMODCO, the SPM Company, during which time he worked on several major projects; Colombo Harbour, Falklands islands, Iran Offshore and others and later two periods in charge of the Asia office in Singapore leading up to the takeover by Single Buoy Moorings.
