Weld Repair
E2G has the engineering resources to assist in the development of weld procedures and techniques for both weld repairs and equipment modifications. Our welding expertise includes experience with the whole family of materials commonly used in process plant applications including carbon steels, low alloy materials, stainless and nickel based alloys, titanium as well as less commonly used materials such as aluminum.
We have been actively involved in weld repairs associated with heavy-wall hydroprocessing reactors, weld overlay applications in both a shop and field environment, heat exchanger tube-to-tubesheet issues, complex heat treatments which utilize our in-house mechanical engineering expertise to address thermal effects as well as repair issues associated with factors such as environmental and mechanical cracking in piping systems.
E2G engineers can participate in upfront engineering discussions with general contractors responsible for implementing a repair.
