Structural Integrity (SI) as a Component of a Facility’s MI Program
By one estimate, poor structural and civil infrastructure conditions and failures cost US businesses about $130 billion per year. It is estimated that one-third of this cost is in business delays and interruptions, not the physical repair or replacement costs themselves. Petrochemical and other industries are not immune to these infrastructure problems. Deteriorating structures and foundations have had a negative impact on the safety, reliability, and environmental performance of petrochemical plants and similar facilities. The management of Structural Integrity (SI) and civil infrastructure is an essential companion to the Mechanical Integrity (MI) program at these facilities.
This webinar will provide an overview of the types of SI issues that may affect your facility, the focus and content of an SI program as part of an overall MI program, SI services provided by Equity Engineering, and several examples of SI evaluations.
