As a member of the Software Development Team, Mr. McEntaggart designs and implements a variety of features in E2G’s software. His current responsibilities include design and enhancements for the PlantManager software, an integrated product which includes both Fitness-For-Service and Risk-Based Inspection modules. Projects that he has worked on include an interface to show detailed calculation steps in a user friendly format for Fitness-For-Service calculations and implementing the PlantManager reporting services allowing for third-party reporting interfaces.
Prior to working at E2G, Mr. McEntaggart worked for a biotech company that manufactured custom oligonucleotides and genes for medical and biological research. His roles included designing and implementing software that controlled workflows and decision making systems to support custom manufacturing. Additionally, he implemented models used to predict nucleotide properties, such as melting temperature, identifying problematic structures prior to manufacturing and contributed to published research. He designed and implemented a custom rule engine that is used in many aspects of the manufacturing process such as controlling pricing and order validation and individual steps in the manufacturing process.
Mr. McEntaggart has also worked in the mortgage industry and the insurance industry. He was responsible for implementing credit models, automating underwriting and designing and implementing expert systems for performing targeted loan audits. Mr. McEntaggart has also designed and implemented insurance and reinsurance software for the Lloyd’s Insurance market.
